It has been a decade of collaborations or even far longer before the word “collaboration’ became a marketing term. And then the alphabet ” X” is now synonym to cross overs or co creations. Design that gives. That is my first impression when i stepped into Mama Shelter in LA last friday. I suppose that is what you are meant to feel when you step inside. Just like how a mother provides, warm and cozy. I do like this song from Maxwell and i loved it more when i saw a rendition by an incredible dancer in SYTYCD telling a story about a woman’s fight against breast cancer. I met Little Shao aka Thinh Souvannarath through my friend Dharni. Coincidentally i had been following Little Shao’s work on dance photography ( Shao shot massive campaigns for Redbull, Puma and Under Armor with Misty Copeland) and thought that he could really bring a new look to street wear so i was excited to connect.
